Day 1 (L,D)
We will pick you up in the morning at your hotel and you will travel by luxury minibus first for a visit to the ancient temple ruins in Ayuthaya Cultural World Heritage site and from there we will drive to Huay Khakaeng in Uthaithani province.
In the evening staff and researchers will at the headquarter camp presenting background information, show wildlife videos and tell anecdotes from this unique wilderness site.
Day 2 (B, L, D)
After breakfast we will guide you through the different tropical forest types on short and safe nature walks for flora, bird and wildlife watching. You will walk “Home of the Tiger” trail, drive to salt-licks and watering holes and if your are lucky and timing is right you may spot some rare and shy wildlife here. Also visit magnificent view-points in the mountain forest nearby.
After a sundowner at a ranger station surrounded by pristine nature you can enjoy a local thai dinner prepared by the ranger wife and spiced and enriched with herbs from the forest. We will thereafter drive on a night safari back to the HQ and again stay over-night in comfortable park bungalows.
Day 3 (B, L, D)
Wake up calls by gibbon or bird song followed by early bird watching around the camp and during breakfast at the riverside restaurant. Thereafter we will leave the sanctuary and if your choice is the short version( part 1 )of the WHS tour we will during the morning visit a community, that the Thai-Danish WEFCOM-project has worked with.
and some of the precious, “un-seen” cultural and natural sites in and around Uthaitani. Thereafter we will complete the 3 days/2nights WHS tour by returning to
Bangkok
for a farewell dinner by the river.
